About us

From a garage to one of the largest metalworking companies in the Baltics

STEVILA is a Lithuanian-German family-owned company whose story began in 1997, in the garage of one of the founders’ fathers. From those humble beginnings, we have grown into one of the largest metalworking companies in Lithuania and the Baltic States, continuously expanding our capabilities alongside the needs of our customers.

Today, STEVILA is a second-generation family business combining decades of manufacturing experience, engineering expertise and modern production technologies. Our name comes from the names of our founders, Stefan and Vilius — STE + VIL — and continues to represent the people and values behind the company.

We work with customers across Europe, with our main export markets being Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands and Austria. Around 85% of our production is exported, and many of our customers have been working with us for 10–15 years or more. These long-term partnerships are a reflection of our focus on consistent quality, reliable supply and the ability to grow together. Our business continues to grow year after year, typically by 10–20%, supported by ongoing investment in production capacity, technology and people.

From Components to Complete Assemblies

At STEVILA, customers can source precision-machined components, larger machined parts and mechanical assemblies from one manufacturing partner. Our capabilities cover CNC Turning, Turning Automates, CNC Milling, Robotized Milling, Large-Scale Machining and Assembly, giving customers the flexibility to choose the right production solution for their component, volume and technical requirements.

From individual components to complete assemblies, we can take care of more of your production within one supply relationship. This reduces supplier complexity, simplifies coordination and helps create a more reliable production flow.

We manufacture according to your drawings, specifications and quality requirements, working with a wide range of engineering materials. Where required, we can also provide or coordinate additional processes such as surface finishing, heat treatment, cleaning and marking — helping customers manage more of the manufacturing process through a single partner.

We support production from prototypes and first articles through repeat serial production. As volumes, component complexity and supply requirements change, we can adapt our manufacturing approach to match your needs.

Your production is supported by a controlled manufacturing environment with ERP/PPS production management, real-time production tracking, EDI integration and traceability. Our ISO 9001:2015 certified quality system and advanced measurement capabilities support consistent, documented production quality.

More of your production. One reliable manufacturing partner.

History

Starting from scratch

Stevila is founded. Production starts in a garage, drilling Nutensteins with manual drilling equipment.

1997

The first CNC machine

As a small business, we had limited financial resources. We purchased our first CNC machine – a used Gildemeister CT200.

1999

Expanding into Western Europe

Lithuania’s accession to the EU opened up new export opportunities. This gave us the opportunity to expand our cooperation with customers across Western Europe.

2004

Growth and expanding expertise

We strengthened our CNC turning and milling expertise and steadily expanded our capacity for medium-volume production.

2005–2015

Large-scale machining

We expanded our CNC turning and milling capabilities to include large-scale machining of components up to 6 metres. A new production building was constructed, and our assembly operations were expanded.

2016

Automation

Automation gathers pace. We open our first dedicated workshop for robotized production. Large-volume production is added to our capabilities.

2021

Second generation

The company enters its second generation. Indrė Senkutė, daughter of Stevila founders Vilius and Irma, becomes COO. She has worked across various departments at the company since 2013.

2025

30 years together

In 2027, we will celebrate 30 years of consistent growth. A third of our team has been with us for more than 10 years. This is the strong core of our team and a solid foundation for the future.

We place great emphasis on understanding our customer’s needs, technical requirements and expectations from the very beginning.

The process typically starts with an initial inquiry. For new cooperation, we sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) to ensure the confidentiality of project-related information. Once we receive the necessary technical information, we evaluate the requirements and prepare a quotation.

Before serial production, we manufacture sample parts and provide FAI (First Article Inspection) reports with detailed measurement results. Where required, this can be followed by a pre-series / pilot production run.

Throughout the process, we maintain close communication with our customers and, depending on the project, may arrange facility visits, customer-site visits and audits.

Our goal is to build long-term cooperation through a structured and carefully managed production ramp-up.

To evaluate an inquiry and prepare an accurate quotation, we ask customers to provide as much relevant technical and commercial information as possible.

Typically, this includes:

  • Order quantities, including estimated annual volumes;
  • Technical drawings, preferably in PDF format;
  • 3D models, preferably in STP/STEP format;
  • Technical specifications;
  • Required materials;
  • Required surface treatments or coatings;
  • Any additional technical or quality requirements relevant to the project.

The more complete the information provided, the more accurately we can assess the requirements and prepare our offer.

At STEVILA, we aim to build long-term partnerships and develop production volumes together with our customers.

The production capacity and potential annual business volume depend on the customer’s requirements and the scope of cooperation. Components may be manufactured at one or more of our production units, and cooperation can also include the assembly of complete modules or sub-assemblies.

We typically develop new partnerships gradually — starting with initial projects and sample orders, validating the production process and then scaling volumes according to an agreed 2–3 year growth plan.

This approach allows us to ensure a controlled production ramp-up, maintain consistent quality and delivery performance, and build a stable and reliable supply partnership as volumes grow.

We focus on building long-term partnerships rather than one-off projects.

Our approach combines a thorough understanding of customer requirements, structured production ramp-up, consistent quality management and close communication throughout the cooperation.

We also continuously monitor key delivery and quality performance indicators. Our targets include On-Time Delivery (OTD) above 95% and quality below 3,000 ppm.

By developing cooperation gradually and scaling production together with our customers, we aim to create a stable, transparent and reliable supply relationship.
